House Hold is a collection of video installations created by Emely Chavarria, Dante Cokinos, Charlie Compton, Lida Everhart, Seb Laroche, Mila Rae Mancoso, Rishi Sanyal, Ella Spanjersberg, Graysen Winchester, and Lipsky – students enrolled in VM371: Alternative Media Production, taught by Professor Malic Amalya.
Using video feedback, green screens, and stop-motion animation, artworks reflect on homeland, home life, and home movies. Around the dinner table, video works explore unusual forms of consumption. Living room televisions broadcast critiques of state violence and commercialism. The bedroom is a quiet space of self-reflection where secrets are whispered and memories are recalled.
